The Journey of a Thousand Miles (And Other Clichés)

Here on my wholly unoriginal blog with its wholly unoriginal concept, displayed on a website I built with a Squarespace template I didn't even bother to change at all, you might be wondering: Why?

To put it simply: I love to write and think about things, and if I couldn't do that I'm afraid I'd die. So here we are.

On this blog you will find my musings on specific pieces of media and entertainment, as well as broader thoughts on how these things affect us as people and as a society. I can't promise that any of these will be particularly brilliant or insightful, but hopefully something here inspires some small amount of reflection for you.

The goal is to post things at least twice a month. I pay for the website and the domain either way, so I might as well put things on it. Topics are whatever has caught my fancy at the moment, though I'm always open to suggestion. Otherwise, read on and let me know what you think. It's the only way I'll improve.

P.S. If you're curious about the name, it's a line from A Midsummer Night's Dream. I grew a particular fondness for it during a production I did in college, and it's a poetic turn of phrase I like to use to this day. Now that I own a domain for it, that's unlikely to change.
